Maluco Studios, a production company specializing in the martial arts/action genre with bases in Florida and Bangkok Thailand, is looking for Native American/Indigenous actors for multiple upcoming film projects.

If you are Native (any North/South American Nation/Tribe is fine), live in Florida and are in the craft of acting or interested in getting into it, please send us your information as we need actors and consultants! If you are interested in the production side of filmmaking, we are offering apprenticeships as well.

We cannot stress this enough: You have to identify as Native American. A familiarity with your Nation’s history and culture as well as and understanding of (and even participate in addressing) issues today is highly encouraged. Being mixed is completely fine, but any information submitted to the effect of “My great grandmother was a Cherokee princess” or “I’m 40% Blackfoot” will not be considered and will be discarded immediately. Any actor of any other ethnicity that submits their information claiming to be able to “pull off the Native look” will also be added to our Ban List (yes, we have one).

Maluco Studios is a film company that prides itself on breaking away from the norm. We create stories and characters that break away from stereotypes and address real issues and struggles, finding the balance between informative and visually entertaining.

My nephew, Marudan, is two years old. He is adorable and sweet and a wonderful nephew. It also happens that he is autistic, and that he stims (does repetitive movements to stimulate his senses) by doing harmful things like throwing himself backwards and into objects, as well as headbanging. He also has severe food sensitivities and learning delays. 

My mother wants to get him treatments and services that will ultimately make him “normal” and strip him of his autistic identity. Being autistic myself, I don’t see this as a positive move and would like to provide my brother, my nephew’s father, with autistic community-friendly resources, and practitioners that have a good track record. My goal is to provide my nephew with the help that he needs to manage stressors, sensitivities, and etc. in a way that helps preserve his autistic identity.

If anyone has any resources, therapists, or contacts that have some sort of reach in either Vienna, Austria (as they will be moving there sometime soon) or in Wisconsin, USA (where they live currently), I would greatly appreciate it if you could forward them to me.

Hi! I just started a tumblr called the Transgender Couchsurfing Network.  After seeing dozens of posts come across my dash about displaced or homeless trans people needing places to crash, I decided that there had to be a way to organize these posts somehow, and to put those in need in contact with those willing to lend a hand.  If you’re trans and need a place to stay, or if you have a couch or floor or spare bedroom available for someone in need, I urge you to reblog this post, follow the blog, and get the word out.  Everything is still under heavy construction, but the more people that see and hear about this blog, the more people will be able to benefit from it!  I know that there are so many people here on tumblr who are in need of a place to stay for a night or two, and I also know how many amazing, wonderful people would be willing to host someone and help out a trans person in need.  We all know what a huge problem unemployment and homelessness are for trans people (especially TPOC and trans women) — even a place to stay for a night can make the biggest difference!  So PLEASE, even if you can’t offer up your couch, REBLOG AND SIGNAL BOOST.

This is a petition to go against the harassment that tumblr allows and make Tumblr take responsibility and protect its users. You don’t have to publish this, but do you think you could give it a signal boost?

Absolutely. The way the tumblr staff refuse to implement basic functions to keep it’s users safe (like a block function that ACTUALLY WORKS) or enforce their own rules (except for when it suits them) is repulsive.
