holy shit i was just thinking of how you’re apparently “”“”supposed to”“”” spend two months’ salary on an engagement/wedding ring
and it just now hit me how much money that is!!!
in ontario if you’re working full time at minimum wage that’s over three thousand dollars???????????????????

Two months of minimum wage where you live equals three thousand dollars??
I know that’s in Canadian dollars, but still.
Yeah… that’s about right…
Though… if you always got 40 hours a week by the end of the year you would be just barely above the poverty line if you are being paid minimum wage.
And the places I’ve worked at have been very reticent about giving the full 40 hours/week.
